Links of the Day 8/1/10
Just like how the White Sox came out of nowhere to seize control of the AL Central, its a Steve takeover day here at the times. Here are the links:
The wikipedia page of former White Sox (and for a short time Twins) 3rd baseman Joe Crede. This is an example of wikipedia at its finest. It starts off all well and good, then has a very in-depth history about his time with Twins. In his personal life section, it has some random facts and then trails off and talks about his unknown brother for the rest of the section. But my favorite part is the "Back Problems" section. It not only talks about his back surgeries which led to him being an unsigned free agent, but apparently his wife, kids, and the fact that he is a Missouri Tigers basketball season ticket holder contribute to his back problems as well.
A fun collection of White Sox cartoons (and the other Chicago sports teams) from the Southtown-Star newspaper in Chicago.
This is sorta-sports related. I know its been on for 8 years, but if you still aren't watching Top Gear on BBC America you're missing out. Here's the website.
