Delmon is in a bad place

Delmon Young was coming around in early May, but in the middle of the month, he had to leave the team to be with his ailing mother. Unfortunately, she passed away during his time with her. Either the emotional weight of the his mother's death or the time away, but probably both, sent Delmon into a tailspin at the plate. His defense has been fine, but he isn't in the lineup for his defense. Perhaps an off day will help him take some batting practice and get his mind right. He is only 23, so the burden to succeed likely puts more pressure on him than we imagine. In that spirit, instead of piling on, even though he has been awful, I would just like to compliment an aspect of Delmon Young that doesn't get noted much. Dude has a ferocious forearm tattoo.
